Setting trade alight at £4500 was a Ram Lamb, BL3U X13 consigned from Messrs Hamilton, Silvermuir, Lanark. Their number one lamb, he is sired by Lyham Denman and out of a homebred ewe sired by Alticane Authority. He sold jointly to David & Ian Walker, Laigh Alticane, Girvan and Jack Lamb, Boreland Flock, Ayr.
Next best at £3400 was another Ram Lamb, this time BL92U X1 from Messrs Tom & Andrew Tennant, Westforth flock, Selkirk – their number one lamb and Third Prize in the Pre-Sale Show. Sired by Alticane Churchill and out of a Kininmonth Galileo daughter. Final bidder on him was Ellie Stokeld, Croft Avenue, Middlesbrough.
Duncan Whyte then received £3000 for his Ram Lamb, BL29Y X13. A son of Robinstown Irish Rover, and with a Muirmouth Kelso sired dam. He now heads north to an Undisclosed Buyer in Caithness.
Females again sold to a flyer of trade topping at £2200 for J Barrowman, Knockglass’s leading Ewe Lamb. A daughter to Westforth Braveheart and out of a Kingfisher Klondike homebred daughter. After some spirited bidding, it was sold jointly to Tom & Andrew Tennant, Westforth, Selkrik and to Robbie Morton, Stobilee, Lanark.
