Sales
Lanark Market
The following week saw a similar boost to the breed, with a highly successful show and sale at Lanark market. Show judge Jim Aiken (Carnew) faced a challenging job, as an excellent turnout of top quality sheep paraded before him. The honours went to John Young (Skerrington, ) whose Mosside Hugo-sired ram lamb was sold for £2,800 to newly-installed President David Walker (Alticaine).
Kelso Rams Sales
The autumn breeding sales have shown a marked improvement in demand for Border Leicester rams as well as females, with all lots being cleared and other buyers still looking for stock.
